2. Make Championships Mean Something

Before Braun Strowman began feuding with Shinsuke Nakamura, Cesaro, and the new Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn, does anyone remember the last time it was defended? The answer is October 18 (!), on SmackDown when Nakamura retained in a match with Roman Reigns after Baron Corbin got involved.

Recently, both the United States and Intercontinental championship pictures have been gaining some momentum, but it's taken the appearance of WrestleMania on the horizon for WWE creative to decide it's time to make plans for these respective titles. WWE has a deeper roster than ever and an easy way to use superstars effectively is to have them vying for their shot at a championship.

The tag team divisions are also in turmoil; the titles are either ignored or passed around so often that none hold any prestige. The RAW tag team titles have been used to set up a WrestleMania showdown between Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins. At Elimination Chamber, the Otis- Dolph Ziggler storyline had more intrigue than the outcome of the championship match itself. Despite The Kabuki Warriors being the women's tag team champions, creative continues to have Asuka pursue the RAW women's championship, while ignoring the belt she possesses.

WWE is a sports entertainment company but that doesn't mean wrestlers should be indifferent about their in-ring results or ignore the promotion's championships. The tag divisions have needed a reset for some time and the singles competition in the mid-card would benefit by having superstars focus their attention on the IC and US championships.
