6 Worst Things Randy Orton’s Character Has Ever Done
1. Burning Down Bray Wyatt's Property
Despite originally forgoing the WWE Championship shot afforded to him by his victory at the Royal Rumble, Orton still finds himself challenging for the belt at WrestleMania 33.
“How did he manage to finagle that one?” you ask.
Well, all it took was for him to befriend Bray Wyatt, earn his trust, infiltrate his Family, earn the keys to the kingdom, use said keys to then sneak into Wyatt’s Family Compound and finally set ablaze the resting place of Bray’s mysterious Sister Abigail. Easy peasy.
It’s difficult to know where to start with this one. Obviously, there’s the moral issue of betraying Bray’s trust, but on top of that, and while I’m no expert on this, Randy seems to have broken a number of laws. Acquiring the keys of the kingdom may have spared him a breaking and entering charge, but he’s still looking at second-degree arson at the very least, not to mention the destruction of property caused and the fact that he desecrated a possible burial site.
And yet despite all that, rather than being punished, he was instead rewarded by being given a shot at the premier prize in WWE.
But it’s okay because Bray has a chance to gain retribution by beating Randy Orton in a wrestling match, thus drawing a line under all that anguish and bad blood—as well as all those criminal offences—that preceded their WrestleMania meeting.
Never change, pro wrestling, never change.
