6 Worst Things Randy Orton’s Character Has Ever Done

Randy Orton’s WrestleMania XXV clash with Triple H had one of the hottest builds in recent memory, and that was in no small part thanks to the pre-match shenanigans of Orton. And while it was Triple H who initially made things personal by breaking into Orton’s home, once again it was the latter who took things to a whole new level.

On the penultimate episode of Raw before ‘Mania, a three-on-one beatdown from Orton, Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes saw Triple H laid out, handcuffed to the top rope and seemingly on the verge of being bashed in the skull with a sledgehammer at the hands of his WrestleMania opponent.

It was at that moment that Stephanie McMahon made her way to the ring, making her first mistake of the night. Her second was pleading with Orton to stop the attack, which only led to her eating a draping DDT as her husband was forced to watch. The insult to injury was then added when Orton got on his knees to plant the most tender of kisses on Steph’s lips, again with her husband helplessly looking on.

This was pretty dark for PG-era WWE, though that doesn't mean it wasn't super effective in ramping up the stakes in their feud.
