6 Wrestlers Who Could Be WWE Raw's Next Babyface

6. Sheamus

Okay, okay - hear me out.

The Celtic Warrior hasn't exactly set the world alight over the last couple of years, but this has 100% been the fault of his booking as opposed to the performances of the man himself. The worst may well be behind him, however, and his partnership with Cesaro has led to the beginning of Sheamus' rehabilitation in the eyes of the fans.

Sheamus brings a past pedigree as a top WWE main roster guy. In 2012, Sheamus was the number one babyface on the SmackDown brand, and while his feud with Alberto Del Rio didn't exactly set the world alight, the man from Dublin was still a more than credible number one good guy. His character was pretty much based on being as tough as balls and being able to take a beating - and there is no reason such a character couldn't work in 2017.

The former WWE and World Heavyweight Champion may well be the best wrestler on the entire roster who doesn't get the respect he deserves from the WWE Universe. His good matches are great and his great matches are fantastic, and there aren't many performers better at selling a beating and making a comeback than him.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
