6 Wrestlers Who Could Be WWE Raw's Next Babyface

5. Kofi Kingston

Another blast from the past who never received the spot he arguably deserved is Kofi Kingston.

Kofi was stuck in midcard purgatory until The New Day came along and reinvigorated his career, making him the most successful tag team wrestler in WWE history and a newly-credible presence on WWE TV.

The time has come to take that tag team success and translate it into singles competition once more. Kofi has won multiple secondary championships, but has never even come close to winning the big prize - which in itself is something of a shame considering the fact that Jack Swagger and The Great Khali were given the ball to run with. Heck, even R-Truth has had a singles match for a World Title on pay-per-view.

The time has come for Kofi Kingston to be given a real chance to make himself a major main event babyface star in WWE. When he was first given the opportunity way back when, feuding with Randy Orton, he seemed primed to make the jump before the creative team got cold feet for whatever reason.

2017 is the time to rectify the mistakes of the past.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
