6 Wrestlers Who Should Have Ended Brock Lesnar's WWE Reign Of Terror

5. Finn Bálor

There's a multitude of ways Bálor could be booked upon his return, all of which will see him placed neatly on the same trajectory he was on before SummerSlam. So after he gets his Universal title back, what's left for him to conquer?

Why not the 'Conqueror' himself? Since debuting on NXT in 2014, Bálor has captured the hearts of men, women, and children alike. He's all kinds of captivating, and his small size has never hindered his success. You can't really call him an underdog, given his unparalleled confidence and in-ring ability. It certainly wouldn't have been out of the question for him to challenge Brock's reign, especially if he channels his darker side.

Shades of what could have been with Daniel Bryan, the fan-picked favourite should have been the one to tackle Lesnar and put him to rest, cementing a path to stardom. The unprecedented future face of the company could have had an objective to return in a blaze of glory, knocking off Lesnar at the Rumble (if he returns in time), or further down the line following a well-built story.
