6 Wrestlers Who Turned Down WWE Hall Of Fame
3. Ole Anderson
Ole Anderson was a founding member of one of professional wrestling’s all time great stables The Four Horseman. The influential team were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame (Class of 2012) with Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, Barry Windham, and J.J. Dillon, being honoured.
Ole was a notable omission.
During an episode of the ARN podcast, Ole’s former partner and kayfabe brother Arn provided answers. Though he did not know if Ole had been asked to be a part of the group that was eventually inducted, Arn said he’d “heard through the grapevine” that Ole didn’t “want anything to do with WWE in any fashion, period”. This was apparently due to an old grudge against Vince McMahon relating to his television deal scheming. Arn recalled "it really was a heated issue between the two of them, there were some conversations and insults that went back and forth, that was probably the biggest reason. There was no interest on either one's part”.
It likely didn’t help Ole’s case for inclusion that he also had a long-standing with the group’s stand out member and industry icon, Ric Flair.
