6 WWE Feuds That Should Have Ended In Hell In A Cell

4. John Cena vs Edge

If you watched WWE during 2006, it was nearly impossible to avoid the John Cena/Edge feud over the WWE Championship. Things began in earnest when Edge earned his Ultimate Opportunist nickname when he cashed in the first Money in the Bank contract at New Year€™s Revolution to win the title from a fallen Cena. The two would trade victories and the title throughout the year, finally ending in a steel cage match that involved a series of run-ins. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MBoT5QUGqQQ While a cage match typically is another solid way to end a feud, a near-yearlong battle probably deserved something a little more. (It€™s worth noting that the only Hell in a Cell match to take place in 2006 was D-Generation X versus the McMahons and Big Show.) A cell match between Cena and Edge would have been the perfect blow-off, especially since they already had competed in various matches, including a triple threat and a TLC match. Both men were at the top of their game and would have delivered a brutal cell match, probably similar to Batista versus Triple H the previous year.
