6 WWE Feuds That Should Have Ended In Hell In A Cell

3. Bret Hart vs Shawn Michaels

To be fair, this is a bit of a stretch since Shawn Michaels won the very first Hell in a Cell match just a month prior to the Montreal Screwjob, which led to Bret Hart€™s departure from WWF. Still, Hart and Michaels had had quite a heated rivalry throughout the mid-90s, and Montreal ended up being the culmination of that longstanding feud. As any wrestling fan knows, it ended with Hart leaving for WCW after a deceptive finish, only returning 11 years later, long after his in-ring career had ended. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EuGdLGoG3e4 But given their rivalry €“ and of course, the Screwjob €“ it€™s an absolute shame that we never got one last match between the two legends. And what better way to blow off a feud between two guys who headlined a WrestleMania with an Iron Man match? When you talk about using Hell in a Cell to end blood feuds, this is the example that should be used. A healthy Hart and Michaels would have owned the cell match. But alas, Hart€™s departure and Michaels€™ four-year hiatus that began six months later ensured that they would never get a chance to face each other again.
