6 WWE Hell In A Cell Opening Matches - From Worst To Best
2. Cody Rhodes & Goldust Vs. The Usos Vs. The Shield (2013)
This is an excellent, excellent show opening bout. Cody Rhodes and Goldust were the champions going into the bout, and had just come off a big moment defeating Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns for the titles and their jobs. 2013 was also something of a coming out year for The Usos, as they went from lower midcard team to one of the top threats in the division. All of this led to this triple threat, which was as good a tag match as the WWE has put on in years. The match featured a lot of big moments, none more so than Cody Rhodes superplexing Seth Rollins all the way to the floor, because Seth Rollins is obviously insane. Them Rhodes Boys retained in a classic that would top most lists of this kind.
Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
