1. Daniel Bryan Vs. John Morrison Vs. The Miz (2010)
A triple threat match does take top honours for me, and it comes from the 2010 edition of the event. Going into the match, the Triple Threat Submissions Count Anywhere stipulation felt a little clunky, but the three men went on to put together as exciting a match as one could hope to see. The match was full of excitement as the action spilled into the crowd and around the arena. The stipulation seemed tailor-made for Bryan, but Morrison and Miz surprised many by busting out a number of submissions themselves. The history of the three men (at least in relationship to Miz) added an extra element to the story as well, helping to put together something of a perfect storm, Opening matches are supposed to be exciting, to whet the appetite of an audience without burning them out. These three men managed that to perfection in 2010, were at the perfect position on the card and pulled out all of the stops to set up what could have been an all-timer event. Bryan got the win with the Yes Lock (still called the LeBell Lock at the time) on poor old Miz.
