Do you remember Christian Cage? WWE would prefer that you didn't. When Edge and Christian broke away from Gangrel's trio The Brood to become a tag team, it was clear from pretty much the beginning who the breakout star between the two was (hint: it wasn't Christian).

That's not to say that both men didn't bust their butts, transforming from vampiric hard-faced Superstars to two childhood friends who were having as much fun as possible at the top of the tag team scene. However, no team can last forever, and Edge and Christian were no exception.

While Edge would have stunning success as a singles competitor, Christian did not have the same luck.

Once his contract lapsed in 2005, Christian migrated to the still-new world of TNA, which at one point did seem like the future of wrestling. There he worked as Christian Cage until he decided that the grass was greener on the other side and came back to WWE after a few years.

While there was always that pesky blue dot rumor, Captain Charisma experienced a great measure of success upon his return, holding on to the ECW Championship longer than any WWE Superstar ever has. Even though his World Heavyweight Championship reign seemed like it happened only because Edge had just retired, it still did happen.

Not bad for a man that had jumped ship and lived to tell the tale.
