Although not his fiercest ex-WWE rival during his TNA tenure (more of that later in the list), charismatic veteran Christian was a very significant opponent of Joe's during his first couple of years with the promotion. The pair enjoyed a natural chemistry and clashed a number of times, most notably at Destination X and Bound For Glory 2007. Their first major PPV encounter saw Christian Cage (as he was known in TNA) successfully defend his NWA Heavyweight Championship, rolling Joe into a pinning predicament while caught in the coquina clutch.
