7 Angles For Samoa Joe's WWE Debut
A valiant, hard-fought loss against John Cena or Randy Orton simply won't do.
Samoa Joe is one of the most iconic stars in TNA history, yet has repeatedly been misused and diluted during his later years with the promotion. A timely return to Ring of Honour has restored much of his credibility, and it now seems only a matter of time until he makes his WWE debut. Sadly - for many longtime fans of the supremely talented Samoan - this looks to be in the form of an appearance as part of the current NXT roster. While Triple H must be commended for packing the ranks of NXT with an assortment of incredible indie talent, thereby brightening the potential future of the WWE immeasurably, his decision to but Samoa Joe through the wringer should be contested. Like many current NXT stars (such as Kevin Owens and Finn Balor), Joe has far more useful experience than a great deal of the main roster. If anybody deserves to be placed on the fast-track to Raw and Smackdown, it is surely the former TNA and ROH champion. Here are seven potential ways in which Samoa Joe could make a lasting impression upon debuting on WWE programming. Some are a little outlandish, while others rely simply upon his incredible ability and presence, but all would certainly be a viable option in the hands of a wrestler with such talent and experience.
