It's been a while since we've seen a wrestler with such single-minded ferocity as Kurt Angle. The seldom-seen Lesnar is undoubtedly a sadistic menace - one capable of hurting anybody from the reigning champion to the nearest cameraman - but his intimidating nature lacks the drive and focus of Angle's run as an unbeatable wrestling machine. Were Samoa Joe to take a leaf from Angle's mid-2000s playbook, the results could be compelling. The pair once tore up TNA in a promotion-defining match somewhat akin to a UFC brawl, complete with MMA ring attire, a surrounding cage, and ultra-believable stiff shots. In the WWE, Joe could debut under his 'Samoan submission machine' persona, with a simple desire to prove himself the best wrestler in a company littered with colourful characters and childish gimmicks. Have him first defeat a host of jaunty figures (Slater, Stardust, Sandow) before moving up the card to take on legitimate rivals, intent on choking out every rival en route to the WWE Championship.
