7 Bad In-Ring Habits That Roman Reigns Needs To Change

2. Smiling Mid-Match

This is a continuation of that John Cena 2.0 experiment WWE tried with Reigns. In 2018, he's still smiling during his matches. Not before, not after, but actually during the portion of his performance that's supposed to, y'know, look like a fight.

Sometimes, this works out. On last week's Raw, it made sense that Roman would revel in beating the tar out of Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas. They're not on his level, so it's hardly a disgrace that he's smiling there. No, the problems come when Reigns does it in matches against other headliners or wrestlers WWE want to present as his equal.

It happened against Samoa Joe, it happened against John Cena and it even happened against Brock Lesnar (of all people). Quite why Roman feels the need to flash a sly grin smack bang in the middle of tough matches opposite world class foes is anyone's guess.

We get that you're enjoying the match, Roman, and that it's supposed to portray confidence, but please resist from beaming like a kid sitting in the stands.
