7 Best Kurt Angle WWE Feuds

Yes, the Lesnar feud may have headlined WrestleMania and, yes, the feuds with Benoit and Michaels produced better matches on the whole. But for my money Angle's best WWE feud was with Edge because, before he was programmed with Angle, Edge was just a guy with potential threatening to breakout and become a bonafide singles star. After the programme with Angle he was a main eventer in waiting.

In the wake of WrestleMania X8 (where Edge faced Booker T and Angle faced Kane in filler programmes), the Canadian and the Olympian were paired together after Edge continually mocked Angle, even coming up with the 'You Suck' chant to accompany Angle's music, a chant that persists to this day. Their first meeting at Backlash was the best thing on that show and they followed that up with other great matches on pay-per-view and on Smackdown.

First was red-hot Hair Vs. Hair match at Judgement Day, which Edge won, shaving Angle bald in the aftermath. A cage match on Smackdown was also excellent and showed that Edge could perform in a main event situation as a singles wrestler. Their matches were great, their promos were great and their segments were great. Everything about this feud worked and it's simply unfortunate that they never got to properly revisit it in later years.
