7 Best Ways WWE Can Utilise Rumoured Returning Stars
6. MVP
Like Richards, MVP is a talented wrestler whose charisma helped earn him "breakout star" status in 2006 with the SmackDown brand. He rose to prominence as the United States champion, holding the title for over a year and developing into a heel straight out of the gridiron.
No matter how many times he mixed it up with top stars like Batista, The Undertaker, Rey Mysterio and Edge, the biggest free agent ever signed by general manager Theodore Long never broke through the glass ceiling and became the headliner so many expected him to.
Instead, he settled for midcard mediocrity before departing WWE in 2010. He floated around other promotions, including TNA. A superstar whose ability to talk is as valuable as his in-ring work, he would sure up the midcard of any brand he appears on. As far as a main event run goes, that appears unlikely at this stage.
While his character is strong enough, nothing that he accomplished outside of WWE suggests he is a marquee star. A solid hand at this point in his career and one who can lend his name recognition to either Raw or SmackDown, MVP still has value, just not as much as he probably thinks.
