6. Sgt. Slaughter Vs. General Adnan & Col. Mustafa (Primetime Wrestling, February 3, 1992)
Since Sgt. Slaughter went heel in 1991 as an Iraqi sympathizer, he was hated by the fans for a long time. In pro wrestling, nothing lasts forever. Even though he turned on the country he once loved (America), fans welcomed him back with open arms as he turned babyface and in early 1992 he was back to flying the flag of his country In a match that aired on Primetime Wrestling in 1992 from MSG, Slaughter took on his former managers General Adnan and Colonel Mustafa, who was the Iron Sheik with a different name. It was pretty ridiculous that WWE would give a different name to a former World Champion like Sheik, but that's how wrestling was in those days. They didn't care. It was a handicap flag match with the winning side winning the right to wave their flag after the match. Slaughter had Mustafa in a sleeper in the ring and it looked like it was going to end the match, but Adnan attacked from behind. A double team attempt by the heels didn't work and Slaughter nailed a clothesline on Mustafa for the win in a short match. When it was over, Slaughter got to wave the American flag as fans joined him in saying the Pledge of Allegiance. It felt right to see Slaughter cheered again.
