5. Ted Dibiase Vs. Hunico (Smackdown January 20, 2012)
It seems like every time WWE goes to Las Vegas for a TV taping or PPV, they tend to do the "Roulette" gimmick. It's a wheel that somebody spins in order to pick a stipulation on a match. For the January 20, 2012 edition of Smackdown they said it was a "Sin City Smackdown" episode with stipulations on every match. When Smackdown GM spun the wheel, it landed on a Flag Match. What would they have done if it was two American guys in the match? They would be fighting for the same flag? Bad idea to ask questions. Of course in this one it worked out because American Ted Dibiase Jr. was in the babyface role against the heel Hunico, who is Mexican. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XEXbEBohML8 A crew ran down to ringside to set up flags on pole that extended above the steel post by the turnbuckle. There were some nice moves in the match with Hunico hitting a Powerbomb off the top rope and then Dibiase dropped him with an Electric Chair when Hunico was close to grabbing the flag. After Hunico sent Dibiase to the floor, he took too long to grab the flag. Dibiase shoved Hunico off the top rope and he took out his buddy Camacho outside the ring. Dibiase ended up hitting Dream Street to win the match in under three minutes. It was fine for a TV match, but it was extremely short too. It's the only flag match in Smackdown history.
