2. A Big Being The Elite Tease

Being The Elite returned from a month-long absence this week with the gang all high on life but low on spoilers as attentions turned to the future contract status of all the main players.

ALL IN lingered in the glassy-eyed expressions of The Young Bucks and Cody in particular, with the new NWA Champion pointedly noting that he was "going double or nothing" as a teaser for what still might be to come. Matt Jackson's latest premonition was a ticking clock that paid off at the end of the episode with an end date of January 1st - the point at which their contracts will be up.

As usual, the crew had their fingers tightly on the pulses of the larger-than-ever hardcore fanbase. Hangman Page's "Joey-killer" story was masterfully concluded at the indie supershow, and the new boots he received here effortlessly fed into his next major arc on the show. The IRL news of him turning down a WWE deal synced up with a note he received alongside his fancy footwear.

"Nice try. If you want to be an assassin, try being more cerebral. - H" was the message from the obvious source, but Paul and the lads in WWE know full well how smart these potential signees are. The plot will only thicken further between now and 2019.
