7 Biggest WWE SummerSlam 2019 Surprises That Might Happen

1. Lesnar Retains The Universal Championship

Yes, there is only a 50% percent chance that either man wins this contest, fair point. But this could be another potentially unpopular decision for WWE to make here, even though they do seem to love those. And it also makes sense for them going forward as well.

Rollins has not had the best run with the belt, with much of his momentum wasted on Baron Corbin, who is now out there on a milk carton somewhere, for all we know. And with Lesnar’s beatings he has given Seth recently, Brock has never looked more bad ass than he does right now. The man stopped a moving ambulance, ripped open the doors, and then nearly killed the man inside it. It has been great stuff so far, and Heyman may be influencing a lot of Lesnar’s good work. Which could mean now that he is running Raw, he might want to keep the title on Brock.

Rollins could use a sort of reinvention at this point, and taking a loss to Brock could help accelerate that process. Perhaps Seth turns heel again afterwards (he has lost his face momentum anyway), or fights his way back to number one contender, or just starts a longer feud with Lesnar. Anything other than another run with Corbin, please and thank you.

Or anything together with Becky Lynch for that matter.

WWE seem to be making this the summer of surprises, and the “Biggest Event of the Summer” should be no different. Which means this show could be as unpredictable as SmackDown’s script is around Vince McMahon.
