7 Clues Macho Man Randy Savage Is Going Into WWE Hall Of Fame 2015
3. Other Past Controversial Names Like Bruno Sammartino & Ultimate Warrior Were Inducted Recently
The phrase "never say never" is a common one that wrestlers use when discussing rumors of something that might happen. It's as if they are trained robots that were taught to use that phrase any time somebody had a question that didn't deserve a straight answer. It's right up there with "it is what it is" in terms of how annoying it can be. If you look at the two biggest names during the Hall of Fame ceremonies the last two years they were guys that distanced themselves from WWE, but whenever we thought about them the phrase "never say never" applied to them. Bruno Sammartino was WWE's biggest star in the 1960s and 1970s. Nobody's going to ever touch his nearly eight year run as the WWE Champion. After he retired his relationship with the company fell apart. He distanced himself from WWE. He was clearly the biggest name not in WWE's Hall of Fame until his 2013 induction in Madison Square Garden. The Ultimate Warrior was not the kind of main eventer that had the longevity of Sammartino because he only main evented for a couple of years, but he was still somebody that made a big impression on WWE's fans. He didn't have anything to do with WWE since 1996. Then in 2013 he signed up for WWE's video game, then was announced for the Hall of Fame and appeared on WWE shows for the next three nights. Unfortunately he tragically passed away when he returned home from that weekend, but at least he was able to return to WWE before his death. When it comes to Savage, WWE did honor him with a video package in 2011 when he died. However, that Hall of Fame induction is missing. Like they always say, never say never.
