For years, Randy's brother Lanny Poffo (aka The Genius) had told a story that Randy only wanted to go into the Hall of Fame if his father Angelo Poffo and brother Lanny went in with him. Randy felt that if other families like the Von Erichs got to go in together then so should the Poffos. It was a fair point by Randy although apparently it wasn't enough for WWE to induct them all. During WrestleMania week there are always a lot of things going on that are hard to keep truck, but there was one important piece of information that slipped under the radar: Lanny Poffo was in New Orleans with WWE personnel. They flew him in. He got to stay at their hotel. While we don't know why Lanny was there, the assumption is that WWE likely wanted to show him what it would be like if his late brother Randy was inducted into the Hall of Fame. He would have been able to see the Ultimate Warrior's induction as well as everybody else that was involved in it. We all tend to criticize WWE from time to time, but nobody can deny that they do a fantastic job with the Hall of Fame every year. It really is a spectacle that wrestling fans have grown to appreciate more and more as the years go by.
