7 Countries Better Suited For NXT Than Japan

6. India

Boasting a similarly huge population as China, India has not had the same type of problems getting pro wrestling to be popular. On the strength of stars like Jinder Mahal and Great Khali achieving gold in the WWE, India has had a large growth in the industry for several years now.

The two big promotions are Wrestle Square and Continental Wrestling entertainment. The latter is owned by the aforementioned Great Khali after returning home from his WWE run in 2015. Originally starting as a wrestling school, CWE grew right alongside the industry in the country, turning into a full fledged wrestling promotion.

With some strategic financial assistance, WWE could very easily influence the way India's professional wrestling scene grows going forward much as they did in Britain. And if WWE is insisting on carrying the brand across international waters, NXT could do worse than taking over the already established Indian wrestling company.

If WWE can call in a favor with their former big man, this would be a massive market to capitalize on. And WWE knows that already. They brought the WWE Network there within a year of its inception. Expanding there is clearly part of the future plan; it is just a matter of how quickly and fully they want to commit to it.

NXT India would be a smart execution on what WWE has already began to build. And Vince's looming prescence on the industry can be felt throughout already. That is more than can be said for the land of the rising sun.

But when it comes to the land of "maple leafs", Vince has bought some of those promotions before.
