7 Countries Better Suited For NXT Than Japan

3. Ireland

NXT Ireland

Sheamus, Becky Lynch, Finn Bálor, and, if you include the north, Fit Finlay and Killian Dain. Not a bad list of hometown heroes for Ireland, eh? And that is without including their adopted son, Hornswoggle.

With that being said, as aforementioned with Scotland this would be a great cost effective way to expand by spreading within Europe. Perhaps with time NXT UK (which hasn't even toured all of the UK yet, mind you) could eventually become a full fledged NXT Europe. But if that is the case, the only logical first step beyond the UK would be Ireland.

Boasting a small (yet thriving) independent scene, Over The Top Wrestling and Irish Whip Wrestling are the main two as Fight Factory Pro Wrestling leans into a more wrestling school focused approach. And clearly of those two, Irish Whip Wrestling is just the type of promotion Vince likes to buy.

Focusing more on homegrown talent from Ireland as of late and promoting a family friendly product, it could be very easily adopted into the NXT family.

Or they could continue their... abrasive style they've exhibited in eliminating competition in the British wrestling scene. You don't have a company anymore if all your wrestlers belong to them, and that is the power WWE has shown to have.

The hope is that it is the former and not the latter, but it seems expansion will only get bigger and more ruthless.

And if they want to continue claiming things that were once British, there are a couple of former colonies...
