5. Japan
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7hyxAu8P9yk Wrestling in Japan has not only carved out the career of Fergal Devitt, but has also served as the place where many WWE wrestlers have honed their craft and perfected their skill. The creator and leader of the YES movement, Daniel Bryan, wrestled in NJPW under the character "American Dragon", joining an elite list of WWE wrestlers who have worked in Japan, a list which is a who's who in the wrestling world. The list includes Kurt Angle, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Ric Flair, Bret and Owen Hart, Hulk Hogan and Chris Benoit. Another wrestler who has been rumoured to have signed a developmental contract with WWE is Japanese sensation, KENTA. KENTA made a name for himself in Pro Wrestling Noah, where he amassed numerous title reigns using his hard-hitting fighting style, stemming from his background as a kickboxer. KENTA also spent some time in Ring of Honor, as he is part of the Global Professional Wrestling Alliance, a group of wrestling promotions that allow their talent to travel abroad to wrestle for other companies. KENTA took part in a WWE tryout at the Performance Center in January 2014. According to Pro Wrestling Insider, KENTA was not looking to be signed to a developmental contract, but only wanted to fulfil a dream of taking part in a WWE tryout. Whether this rings true in the near future or not is unclear at the moment, but as wrestling fans, let's hope that both of Japan's golden boys appear on a WWE stage sooner rather than later!
