7 Crazy WWE Attitude Gimmicks That Almost Happened

5. Prince Albert As George 'The Animal' Steele's Son

"Shave your back! Shave your back! Shave your back!"

That chant will be familiar to anyone who lived through Attitude. Prince Albert (yep, a wrestler named after a penile piercing) was relentlessly tortured with the prompt, and so was Los Boricuas member Miguel Pérez Jr. Before both men could introduce the wonders of back fluff to the masses, the iconically mad George 'The Animal' Steele beat them to it in the late-80s.

George left such an imprint on the audience that plans were tentatively made to turn Albert (sorry, Miguel) into Steele's kayfabe son. In Scott Edelman's 'Warrior Queen' book on Chyna, there are notes on this potential storyline, and Dave Meltzer mentioned it briefly in issues of The Wrestling Observer back in 1998. The angle wouldn't end up happening.

Albert was supposed to be introduced as Steele's kid, a young man hoping to continue his father's legacy. Both Triple H and Chyna, who knew him from time spent training under Killer Kowalski, were reportedly high on the idea, but it was canned before the WWF gave it serious consideration.

All that God-given body hair gone to waste.
