4. Shawn Michaels Vs. AJ Styles

Alright, yeah, I’m sort of steering into the realms of fantasy here but, as ever, it’s my list so I’ll do what I like.

It’s tenuous, yes, but Michaels has recently - and for the first time since his retirement - publicly appeared to be open the idea of the proverbial 'One More Match'. When asked about who he’d like to face if that ever happened, the first name out of his mouth was AJ Styles.

Cast your minds back to 'Mania 33, and in the aftermath of the 'Show Of Shows' it was revealed that the original opponent for Styles had been none other than HBK. Michaels sadly deciding to turn the match down for… well, we don’t actually know why, but you’d presume he simply didn’t think he was up to it.

If the 'Heartbreak Kid' has softened on his stance though then a match with Styles is an absolute must. He’s the best wrestler in the company, he can plan out really interesting matches and - most importantly when you’re working a 52 year old - one of the company’s safest guys.
