7 Feuds Key To Baron Corbin's Success In WWE

1. John Cena

John Cena is the measuring stick in WWE. No matter how hard the company tries to push Seth Rollins or Roman Reigns or any other Superstar to explode onto the scene, the franchise player is and will continue to be the leader of the Cenation.

For better or worse.

With that said, there is no better way to prove to the masses that Corbin belongs on the main roster, mixing it up with the best and biggest stars in the industry, than by booking him against Cena and letting the world see how he fares.

It has worked before. A year ago, Kevin Owens immediately announced to the WWE Universe that he is one of the elite wrestlers on the planet with a series of Match of the Year candidates against the then-United States champion. Regardless of how poorly that initial push was followed up on, Owens earned the respect of the audience because he performed up to the level of Cena.

Corbin, for all the flack he caught early in his career for fans' perception of him as a generic big guy, has developed into a damn fine worker. And Cena, for the complete and utter disrespect shown to him by keyboard warriors and fans who still think it is 2006 and, thus, fashionable to argue that he can't wrestle, has delivered countless classics against stars of all shapes, sizes and styles.

Not only would The Lone Wolf garner a ton of experience from working with Cena, but just the idea of him sharing the same ring as someone with such mainstream recognition, would elevate him in the eyes of the most casual of fans.

Regardless of what one may argue, it still means something to work with Cena, win or lose, and Corbin could benefit tremendously.
