Jason Jordan and Chad Gable had an instant chemistry as a unit when they originally joined forces in the summer of 2015. They could have been crowned champions right then and there because they were just that good together, but where would have been the fun in that?

Over the next year, they stacked up several wins over former NXT Tag Team champions including The Ascension, The Vaudevillians and Blake & Murphy before taking the titles from The Revival at NXT TakeOver: Dallas. They would have held the belts a lot longer than they did if they weren't needed on the main roster for the Brand Split, and in mid-July, they were selected by SmackDown Live in the 2016 WWE Draft.

They had a great feud going with The Usos for a while earlier in the fall and recently won a tag team Gauntlet match to (temporarily) earn a future opportunity at the SmackDown Tag Tag Team Championship, but other than that, they have been laying low on the blue brand this year. However, that should change in 2017 once the popularity of Heath Slater and Rhyno dies down and they claim their spot atop SmackDown's tag team division by becoming champions.
