7 Former NXT Wrestlers Who Will Win WWE Gold In 2017

2. Alexa Bliss

There is little doubt that Alexa Bliss is the most improved women's wrestler of 2016 for WWE. Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks were already great coming into the new year, whereas Alexa Bliss was just beginning to branch out on her own. Following the failures of Blake and Murphy, she severed ties with the former NXT Tag Team champions and set her sights on the NXT Women's Championship.

Of course, she was never able to contend for the gold before being called up to the main roster this past summer, and she wasted no time in making an immediate impact by becoming the No. 1 contender to the SmackDown Women's Championship at No Mercy. Although she initially fell short of winning the belt from Becky Lynch, she will be granted another shot at the strap at TLC this Sunday.

It could very well be there that Bliss becomes champion for the first time in her wrestling career, but even if not, she will unquestionably be winning gold in the first few months of 2017. Her mic skills have progressed immensely and she truly has her character down pat, making her one of the best heels on either roster right now.
