7 Horrible Truths About WWE's Future

2. It May Not Survive After Vince

In his infamous pipe-bomb promo, CM Punk suggested that the WWE might be better off when Vince McMahon is dead. The very opposite could be true; despite much praise heaped upon Triple H for the decision he's made since gaining greater influence within the country, the monumental shift of power when Vince eventually retires or passes away will be unpredictable to say the least. Although Triple H and Stephanie have considerable experience running the promotion by now, you can bet that their first few moves as true owners will be held up to incredible scrutiny. At some point or another, a hugely unpopular booking decision or major controversy will come along - simply due to the inevitability of such incidents in the wrestling business - and the WWE will come under immense pressure. Then there's the case of the old guard, company legends and ambassadors such as Hogan, JR, Austin and Rock who may not inwardly respect Hunter and Stephanie as much as they did Vince. They could well face numerous challenges to their authority, and such difficulties could eventually prove too much for the WWE to handle. Time will tell whether the WWE and Vince are as inseparable as they seem.
