7 Most Idiotic Decisions Made By WWE Characters

3. Daniel Bryan Trusts Triple H At Summerslam 2013

Any wrestling character who trusts Triple H is as idiotic as any that trusted Ric Flair back in the day (more on that later). It's no secret that Hunter has patterned his wrestling career after Harley Race and Ric Flair and has loved being the heel in almost every situation. At Summerslam 2013, Daniel Bryan was handpicked by John Cena to be his opponent in the main event for the WWE world title. Bryan had been on the roll of a lifetime, garnering huge fan support and massive reactions from live audiences despite Randy Orton being booked to win the Money in the Bank ladder match. Cena chose Bryan as his opponent and that fiercely divided the McMahon family. Vince did not want to see Bryan in the main event because Bryan did not give off the image of a WWE superstar. On the other hand, Triple H rallied for Bryan to be in the match because he was popular and would move WWE forward. Hunter named himself the special guest referee of the title match to ensure that nothing sinister would take place. Of course, that should have been the first red flag to Daniel Bryan but, since all babyfaces are total morons, Bryan went into Summerslam expecting a fairly officiated match. Bryan ended up defeated John Cena following his running knee finisher and Triple H celebrated with Bryan as he held the world title high. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8l0ezseXcIo Suddenly, Randy Orton's music hit and he made his way to the ring carrying the Money in the Bank briefcase. As Bryan was distracted by Orton, Hunter hit Bryan with a Pedigree and just like that Randy Orton was the new WWE champion.
