7 Most Idiotic Decisions Made By WWE Characters

4. Rikishi Runs Over Steve Austin

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFnUxwlLSKA It was probably one of the worst "out of left field" heel turns in WWF history and the reasoning for the heel turn was one of the weirdest and least understood as well. At the Survivor Series 1999, Steve Austin was scheduled to wrestle for the WWF world title when he was attacked and run over by a speeding car in the parking lot. The driver was never revealed and Austin was put on the shelf for many months (in real life, Austin needed neck surgery). Austin made his return at Unforgiven 2000 and made it his mission to find out who ran him over at Survivor Series. After accusing the usual suspects of the Rock and Triple H, Austin turned his longtime friend Mick Foley (then the commissioner of the WWF) to do some investigative work. A few confusing and contradictory clues were thrown out for the audience and all signs pointed to the Rock. However, after discovering the car had been made for someone who was extraordinarily fat (how do you make a car like that?), Foley accused longtime babyface Rikishi of running over Steve Austin. Rikishi admitted that he had committed the crime fairly quickly and stated that he "did it for the Rock" because for too long the WWF had only white champions like Bob Backlund, Bruno Sammartino, Hulk Hogan, and Steve Austin.Rwtb0 Rikishi thought if he ran over Steve Austin then his cousin, the Rock, could avenge all the Samoans would had been "held down" by the WWF for decades. Eventually, it was revealed that Triple H was the mastermind behind everything and he had hired Rikishi to run over Austin but, at that point, everyone was so confused that it didn't even matter.
