7 Impact Slammiversary 2020 Predictions You Need To Know
4. Knockouts Championship: Jordynne Grace (c) vs. Deonna Purrazzo
Jordynne Grace vs. Deonna Purrazzo has easily been given the greatest build in the lead towards Slammiversary. While the main event is perhaps more anticipated, mostly due to the mystique surrounding the mystery competitor, the Knockouts Championship match has a better story coming into it.
Purrazzo's official Impact debut was announced not long after she was released from her NXT contract, with just two vignettes airing before 'The Virtuosa' came through the curtain for the first time. When she did arrive, Deonna wasted no time whatsoever in setting her sights immediately on 'Thicc Mama Pump', leaving the champ grounded with one of her vicious Fujiwara armbars.
That armbar is just the sort of thing Deonna needs to stand further above the rest of the knockouts division. Sure, you've got some other knockouts who have more impactful finishers, like Jordynne's Grace Driver and Taya Valkyrie's Road to Valhalla. However, a submission finisher that legitimately looks like the executor is attempting to pull the limb out of its socket never fails to disappoint. We've seen Deonna trap Grace in the move on two separate occasions now, both of which saw Jordynne's arm yanked at a brutal angle.
A third use of the move is all 'The Virtuosa' needs to lift her first championship since 2017.
Winner: Deonna Purrazzo
