7 Improvements WWE Network Needs To Make
1. Third Party Content
There have been rumours for some time that WWE has been pursuing outside brands with the intent of adding their programming to the WWE Network. These alleged brands have ranged from Evolve and Progress to Ring of Honor and even TNA.
While WWE already has several external promotions available on the service - from Smokey Mountain to World Class - the featured promotions always involve companies that are no longer in business. A move to promoting footage of promotions that are fully operational today is obviously a risky move, but one that would be hugely beneficial for WWE.
Featuring content from companies that act as feeder groups, like Evolve and Progress, would be a great way to introduce prospective talent to the WWE audience, meanwhile it also gives back to the promotions that are helping to develop future WWE stars.
WWE has already worked with Evolve, Progress, and Rev Pro several times in the past, notably as part of the Cruiserweight Classic qualifiers, while a number UK stars from Progress and ICW also appeared at WrestleMania Axxess.
Meanwhile, the WWE UK Championship itself has also been defended internationally in both Progress and ICW. A move to featuring shows from these partner promotions would benefit all parties, not least the fans themselves.
