The current setup in WWE sees Bryan as one of the top two babyfaces in WWE along with Cena. You can call them 1A and 1B or rank them some other way if you want, but that's just how it is. Those two guys are on another level from the others. Remember that when Cena got hurt last summer for what amounted to be two months, it was Bryan that became the top babyface in the company. A big reason Cena is a favorite is because he's the golden boy in WWE. When Vince McMahon counts the money in his bank account, he thinks of Cena because he's the one that makes him the most money and he has done it for a decade now. Cena's the one that McMahon can trust more than anybody because he's already been WWE Champion a dozen times. What hurts Cena's chances is the fact that he's feuding with Bray Wyatt now and they have almost made a point to not have Cena interact with Bryan in any way on Raw. There's no need to involve the WWE Title in the Cena/Wyatt story because they've got their own thing going right now. Wyatt's trying to get into Cena's head while Cena is trying to keep the young guy from terrorizing the company. It's been a good feud. Due to Cena's status in the company and his history as a WWE Champion, he's a very strong candidate to be the man again no matter what the fans may think about it.
