7 Losses That Need To Happen At WWE Beast In The East

Is Kevin Owens really a lock to drop the NXT Title?

Another WWE Network special event is upon us and it looks to be quite a unique affair. Beast in the East will be live-streamed from Tokyo, Japan very early on America's Independence Day.

Brock Lesnar is the big star advertised for the show and lends his namesake to the title. The other big selling point is the NXT Title match which will pit champion Kevin Owens against challenger Finn Balor.

When trying to make predictions for this card, some of the outcomes seem easy to call. For example, it's highly unlikely that Kofi has any chance of upending The Beast Incarnate. Also, with as much documentary hype that WWE has put into Finn Balor it is hard to believe that he won't leave the country that he's so famous in as the new NXT Champion.

Even though wrestlers like Brock and Finn are positioned to win their bouts, some closer examination is needed for the expected losers on the card. This article explores the individuals who are most likely to lose and compares them alongside the ones who really should lose. A certain recent King of the Ring winner might really stand to benefit from pinning the current U.S. Champion, but that doesn't mean that it's happening.

The following 7 losses are what need to happen at Beast in the East...

7. Cesaro vs. Diego

Cesaro versus Diego is one of the more 'house show' matchups on the card. The Swiss wrestler has been featured in a few noteworthy matches since re-entering the singles division, including bouts with Kevin Owens and John Cena. It's a shame that he isn't facing off against a bigger star in Tokyo.

Who Needs To Lose: Diego

Los Matadores are a lower-tiered tag team that are really only placed in prominent spots when WWE needs the illusion of a deep tag division. The Elimination Chamber tag team match was a good reason to feature them on a bigger card but it doesn't happen enough to warrant a victory here.

Who Will Likely Lose: Diego

Cesaro is a singles wrestler who just came off of an astounding U.S. Championship challenge against Cena this past week on Raw. Lengthy Cesaro matches are always nice but that's illogical in this case. He should easily and quickly dispose of Diego.
