7 Major Mistakes WWE Has Made With Brock Lesnar

2. Heyman Double-Cross

Of all the storylines that WWE could have gambled on, an old-fashioned double-cross would have been one of the better ones WWE could have done during the past year.

It’s well documented that Paul Heyman can’t be trusted. He turned on CM Punk and used Brock Lesnar as his charge to battle the former World Champion. Heyman even turned on Brock mid-match once upon a time, so the parts were all there.

Imagine Heyman replicating his Survivor Series 2002 turn on Brock, only substituting someone like Braun Strowman for Big Show. Paul E. recognizes that Braun is the next big thing, so he switches horses mid-match, costs Lesnar the bout and sides with Strowman.

Hell, you could have done it at WrestleMania 34 with Roman Reigns. Fans were already openly booing him; having Heyman double-cross Brock and back Roman would have been a hell of a lot more interesting than what we got.

But instead, we just get more of the same.

Scott is a former journalist and longtime wrestling fan who was smart enough to abandon WCW during the Monday Night Wars the same time as the Radicalz. He fortunately became a fan in time for WrestleMania III and came back as a fan after a long high school hiatus before WM XIV. Monday nights in the Carlson household are reserved for viewing Raw -- for better or worse.
