7 Major Problems With RAW Vs. SmackDown At WWE Survivor Series

7. Rivals Working Together

When the initial novelty wears off, the sheer lack of logic involved in cross-brand invasion stories becomes depressingly apparent. The SmackDown Live roster invaded RAW this past week, laying waste to anyone and everyone they could find in the backstage area, before posing for a couple of group photos for WWE’s various social media profiles.

The faces and the heels of SmackDown stood together, Bobby Roode and Dolph Ziggler fighting as partners as opposed to bitter rivals. It makes absolutely no sense at all, and completely trivialises the feuds on the individual brands. Citing ‘brand loyalty’ simply isn’t enough.

The WWE Universe is expected to believe that the only way for rivals like Roode and Ziggler to settle their differences is inside the ring. It seems as though the same outcome can be achieved by putting both men in SmackDown Live t-shirts (available on WWE.com, by the way).
