7 Major Problems With RAW Vs. SmackDown At WWE Survivor Series

6. The Lone Wolf Isn't So Lonely Anymore

For the past year and a bit, Baron Corbin has been an absolute pain to anyone and everyone on the SmackDown roster. The Lone Wolf has repeatedly put the boots to whomever he feels may be in his way, showing little regard for face and heel alignments when it comes to beating down fools. Corbin is The Lone Wolf after all, and he frequently acts in that manner.

The SmackDown invasion and subsequent storyline has shown that Corbin is anything but a lone wolf. The Big Breakfast was front and centre of the invasion, holding Kurt Angle hostage alongside fellow blue brand heel Rusev. Corbin is going to fight WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz, to prove that the secondary title on SmackDown is the better of the two.

WWE spends so much time and effort on creating ‘characters’, yet the promotion is always eager to contradict the personalities for the sake of short term storytelling. Corbin is a performer on thin ice at the best of times, so forcing him into a story that goes against the previous 18 months of his career is only going to hurt him.

Why does Baron Corbin care about Shane McMahon and SmackDown Live? He doesn’t, but for the next month we will have to pretend that he does.
