7 Major Problems With RAW Vs. SmackDown At WWE Survivor Series

2. Uninspiring Matches

The Miz Baron Corbin

If the WWE Universe was tasked with coming up with a card of RAW vs. SmackDown matches, the chances are the card would be very exciting. Brock Lesnar vs. AJ Styles? Asuka vs. Charlotte Flair? Finn Bálor vs. Sami Zayn? These are just three potential bouts that such a set up could bring.

Instead, we get matches that nobody wants to see. There is a morbid curiosity in seeing Lesnar take on Jinder Mahal, but that curiosity subsides when reality kicks back in. It is a colossal waste of The Beast Incarnate on one of the promotion’s biggest shows of the year.

The less said about The Miz vs. Baron Corbin the better. The Miz is one of the best talkers in the company but his in-ring work still leaves a lot to be desired. The sooner he stops using Daniel Bryan’s kicks, the better. And Corbin? The jury is still out on The Lone Wolf, almost 18 months after his arrival on the main roster.

With the exception of The Usos vs. Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose, all of the RAW vs. SmackDown matches on the card for Survivor Series 2017 are thoroughly uninspiring, to say the least.
