7 Major Title Changes NOT On The WWE Network

2. Intercontinental Title Tournament

If a major wrestling championship is won in the Amazon jungle and nobody's there to see it, does it still count?

Pat Patterson's coronation as the inaugural WWF Intercontinental Champion does. In 1979, Patterson, with help from nefarious manager The Wizard, beat blue-eyed babyface and WWF North American Champion Ted DiBiase for his coveted title. The new champ then carried his title south of the equator, where he successfully unified it with its South American equivalent to create the promotion's secondary strap which we all know and love today.

The 'Pretty Boy's monumental victory isn't available on the Network anyway, but only because it didn't actually happen. In the words of Jonathan Frakes: they made this this one up.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
