7 Matches That Must Happen At NXT TakeOver: Chicago

2. NXT Women's Championship - Asuka Vs. Ember Moon

Another rematch, but the way that the NXT Women's Championship match at TakeOver: Orlando ended makes Asuka/Moon II inevitable. Keeping the championship on Asuka was the right move in Orlando, as the Japanese star edges ever-closer to a major professional wrestling record. Asuka's dominance has been complete, and such things can't be changed in the blink of an eye.

Is Ember Moon the right individual to hand Asuka her first defeat? That is a matter of opinion, but at the very least she must cause Asuka enough problems to make defeat a possibility. Moon is arguably the first major physical challenge Asuka has faced in a long while, a credible challenger when there were no credible challengers in sight.

Another option would be to throw Ruby Riot and Nikki Cross into this match and make it a four-way, but with NXT doing a women's four-way as recently as TakeOver: San Antonio that is unlikely. Ember deserves another singles match for the championship.

Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
