NXT TakeOver truly is the gift that just keeps on giving. This past weekend in Houston, WWE's developmental brand promised a lot and spectacularly over-delivered, with one of the most engrossing wrestling shows of the year. NXT TakeOver: WarGames had something for everyone, everything from thrilling squash matches to weapons-based plunder, with plenty in between.

Another cycle is complete however, and NXT must move on once again. The next TakeOver special takes place the night before the Royal Rumble, in the proud wrestling city of Philadelphia. What matches can the WWE Universe expect to take place on 27 January in the Wells Fargo Center?

The ball is now rolling towards WrestleMania season, and NXT will have its own special event in New Orleans at the beginning of April. Will the TakeOver show in Philadelphia do more than set up matches for 'Mania weekend? Will it manage to meet the high standards of NXT specials before it? Time will tell, but there isn't much of that until Rumble weekend.
