Despite being a fan of WWE for well over 25 years, I am still prone to optimism when it comes to predicting the future of the company. It always ends in disappointment, but still I hope for the best. With that in mind, I am going to predict that the experiment with Enzo Amore as WWE Cruiserweight Champion will end just in time for WrestleMania 34.

Enzo will spend the next month or so dodging Hideo Itami, but he won’t be able to do so forever. Itami will get his hands on the Realest Champ in the Room at Elimination Chamber, and he will absolutely slaughter him. I’m not talking Brian Kendrick broken face slaughtering - but this will be a one-sided victory for the Japanese star.

The post-match will be far more notable. As Hideo Itami is busy celebrating his title win, WWE’s newest signing will finally arrive and signal his intention to challenge the champ at the Show of Shows.

Hideo Itami vs. Ricochet will be on for WrestleMania 34.

Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
