This will be a laughter match, where the only way to win is to cackle your opponent into submission. I’m joking of course, but the way WWE has booked Woken Matt Hardy so far doesn’t fill fans with optimism. Oops, there’s that word again! The Good (Not Great) War will come to an end at Elimination Chamber.

It is difficult to approach this story with any real enthusiasm. It got off to a hot start, but has stagnated over weeks of aimless talking and cackling. In short, it has gone the way of every Bray Wyatt feud in recent memory. The sooner this moves to the Hardy Compound, the better.

This version of Matt Hardy is obviously the finest one, and has provided wrestling fans with plenty to enjoy over the years. It can only be a short term thing, however. Bray Wyatt absolutely must come out of the feud on top, unless WWE is officially pulling the plug on the Eater of Worlds. Neither man will have a big role to play at WrestleMania, so the summer rebuild of Bray begins here.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
