7 Men The Undertaker Should Have Faced At WrestleMania 31

7. Cesaro

Just imagine for a moment that Brock Lesnar failed this year to end The Streak, and that it was still very much alive. That would have put Paul Heyman 0-2 against The Dead Man. He€™d be livid for failing twice, and so he decides to align with Cesaro. While under his wing, Cesaro goes on an absolute rampage until WrestleMania XXXI. There, we see if he€™s the one who has what it takes to end The Undertaker. Unfortunately, that won€™t happen now. Cesaro still looks like he€™s being groomed for bigger things, but his alliance with Heyman just doesn€™t feel natural yet. What could have helped was a defined mission: if Heyman announced he€™s training Cesaro to end the streak in one year. With the right build, the march towards a showdown with Taker could have set Cesaro up as a real player in the company. He would also be a good opponent for The Dead Man due to the frailty of his body. If you saw his match with Brock, you could clearly tell Taker was having trouble working with him, but Cesaro would have been easier to tangle with. He€™s a lot smaller than Lesnar, which would make it easier for Taker to toss around, and yet he also possesses monstrous power to still be a credible opponent. Also, let€™s not ignore the fact that Undertaker being captured in the Big Swing would be one of the most bizarrely entertaining sights in WrestleMania history.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
