The 205 Live roster has been conspicuous by its absence on RAW as of late, although if the cruiserweight show continues its current renaissance then that could be for the best. New General Manager Drake Maverick has made a huge difference to the purple brand, and the tournament to crown a new champion has finally given 205 a real sense of direction and purpose.

There is still time for a cruiserweight match to be added to the show, and it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see some sort of six-man schmozz booked for the Kickoff. Something is obviously better than nothing, but the new direction of the junior heavyweights could do with the attention of the wider WWE Universe.

A second round tournament match should absolutely take place on the show. Cedric Alexander vs. TJP and Kalisto vs. Roderick Strong are the next two scheduled bouts, and both 205 Live and Elimination Chamber would be best served if one of them happened at the pay-per-view. The WWE Universe could see what the cruiserweight division is all about, and the new and improved 205 Live would get a decent bit of advertisement.
